Student wellbeing

Like all NSW public schools, we provide safe learning and teaching environments to encourage healthy, happy, successful and productive students.

The department is committed to creating quality learning opportunities for children and young people. These opportunities support wellbeing through positive and respectful relationships and fostering a sense of belonging to the school and community.

The Wellbeing Framework for Schools helps schools support the cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development of students and allows them to connect, succeed and thrive throughout their education.

How we support student wellbeing

Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.

We do this through:

Students have access to their Year Advisor, Head Teacher Welfare, the School Counsellor and other personnel within the school who will be able to provide student support both at school and via phone contact. Some additional community-based services are also available through the links below.

To assist students in their studies, there are a number of resources that can be accessed through the Study Skills Handbook.

Access to this will be made available via the Sentral Student Portal.

School counselling service

School counselling staff are members of the school learning and support team. School counsellor support is available via Telehealth Conference.

A teacher may recommend the service by referring a student to the school’s learning and support team. As a parent or carer, you may refer your child directly to the school counselling service. Students can also self-refer to the service.

To book an appointment, please email counsellors between 9am-3pm (school terms only).

Monday - Wednesday (Week B)

To book an appointment for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, please email James Le between 9am-3pm.

Wednesday-Thursday (Week A)

To book an appointment for Wednesday or Thursday, please email Bethany White between 9am-3pm.
