International Student Program

Bass High School is proud to embrace diversity and welcoming international students from a wide range of cultures, religions and backgrounds. We support students across every aspect of their schooling. Our support includes:

International Student Coordinator

The Coordinator will support students to navigate academic and welfare needs, social and cultural transitions. At Bass High School the International Student Coordinator is Ms L Do.

Weekly Check-in

Every Friday, during break time, students and the Coordinator meet up to socialise, share new learnings and raise any concerns.

Attendance Reports

Attendance is monitored daily. Students must attend a minimum of 80% of all scheduled classes. If they do not meet attendance requirements they may be reported to DE International, unless there are compassionate or compelling circumstances. (See DE International link below for more information).

International Student Excursions

Each term, the Coordinator organises culturally significant excursions, giving international students the opportunity to experience both Australian and other international cultures. By engaging the students with the wider community, we aim to promote their sense of belonging.
