Stories and highlights

There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events such as Halloween and Book Week to proud moments like the Rugby Finals or Athletics Carnival, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

In October our Spook-tacular fundraiser was a huge hit, with students, our amazing senior exec and amazing teachers all getting involved as faculties and students competed for best dressed costumes. The quad was alive with music, Acai, sausages, a bake sale, henna and face painting, bringing so much energy and joy to the day.

In August Bass High School celebrates Book Week with students dressing up as their favourite characters from all works of fiction. The creativity and engagement from not just the students but the teachers as well makes it a highlight of the school community each year.

Our sporting teams have been competing in their various competitions, including the various rugby league teams that compete in the school boys and school girls cup, the university shield, and just recently the Rugby League Finals in August The open boys and girls teams remain undefeated in their competition, and there have been strong performances in the other rugby league competitions.

In May our Athletics Carnival demonstrated the strong student participation and engagement with our organised events. It is always a great opportunity for staff to see students in a different context outside the classroom environment and demonstrate their athletic abilities.
