Bass High School uniform policy

We developed our uniform in consultation with our students, teachers, parents and carers, and our local community.

The Bass High school uniform:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
  • is affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities
  • is suitable for all body shapes.

Bass High uniform policy

  • Students in Years 11 and 12 must wear the full school uniform (including ties) everyday.
  • Students in Years 7-10 must wear the full school uniform every day except for sport days (Tuesdays).
  • Students in Years 7-10 must wear the full sport uniform on Tuesdays.
  • Students participating in PE on days other than Tuesday must wear the full school uniform. Students must change in and out of the full sport uniform for PE lessons.
  • Students may only wear school rugby league singlets during morning training sessions.
  • Only white t-shirts and skivvies may be worn under the school uniform. No leggings may be worn under school uniform.
  • Earrings should be studs or sleepers only.
  • Black leather shoes are compulsory for all students and must be worn every day except for sport days.

School shoes policy

It is compulsory for students to wear shoes at all times at school, in order to protect their feet. Poor quality footwear can permanently damage growing feet.

Shirt

  • Clean white business shirt or blouse
  • Buttons done up
  • No rips, tears, stains or fraying
  • No logos

Pants

  • Plain tailored style
    • Black (girls Years 7-12 and boys Years 11 and 12)
    • Grey (boys Years 7-10)
  • No rips, tears, stains, fraying or excessive fading
  • No additional colours (including stripes or trim)
  • No track pants, leggings, stretch or knit pants

Hat

  • Black school cap with school logo

Socks

  • Plain white

Undershirt

  • Plain white t-shirt or skivvy
  • Should not be seen under uniform
  • No logos, hoods or colours
  • No additional colours (including stripes or trim)

Jewellery

  • Minimal
    • 1 x necklack (under shirt)
    • 1 x rings
    • 1 x bracelet
  • Earrings may be studs or sleepers only
  • No large jewellery
  • No jewellery that poses a safety risk

Makeup

  • Minimal
