The University of Technology (UTS) has created a two-year student support program (The U@Uni Academy program) that mentors senior students who have demonstrated potential to succeed at university through criteria related to commitment, mindset and passion. The program aims to work with students to further develop their 21st century skills, HSC capabilities and to prepare them for University study.
Fifteen students from our school were accepted into The U@Uni Academy program.Students are required to attend on-campus (at UTS) and in-school (after school hours at Bass High School) university experiences and academic support workshops throughout the program.
Students recently completed a number of Winter School workshops at UTS during the first week of the July school holidays. I had the pleasure of seeing their impressive completed projects on day 5.
Congratulations to all the U@Uni Academy students on completing the winter school workshops at UTS!
