Bass High School ruby win over Endevour Sports High School

Bass High School rugby player, Aaron Keppie

Bass High School's rugby team, the Bass Bulls, won significantly against Endeavour Sports High School in the Peter Mulholland Cup 2024.

In the opening round at Points Bet Arena in Cronulla on 15 May 2024, Bass High School faced off against Endeavour Sports High School. Despite Endeavour leading 12-6 at halftime, our players emerged with renewed determination in the second half. Simione Laiafi scored two decisive tries, leading the team's comeback. The final score was 20-14, marking a significant win against the 4th ranked Endeavour Sports High. This victory has boosted our team's confidence for the rest of the season.

Adding to the excitement was the presence of Royce Hunt, a former Bass High School student and current First Grade Rugby League player for the Cronulla Sharks. Royce's jersey presentation and encouraging words before the game made the day even more special for our team.

We are very proud of our rugby team and their achievement. This victory reflects the dedication and hard work of our players, coaches, our school's renowned ruby program and the entire school community.

Go Bass Bulls!
