The welfare and student support staff are a dedicated and compassionate team that include year advisors, the careers advisor, school learning support officers, the school counsellor, school chaplain, supervisor of students and school engagement officer. Senior executive and a regional home school liaison officer also support this team. The welfare team-work closely with the school learning support team to ensure students are strongly supported throughout all areas of school life.
The priority areas of the schools welfare team include attendance, behaviour modification, anti bullying programs and strategies, recognition of student achievement, developing positive relationships, transition and health and safety.
The welfare team is committed to strengthening the link between home and school through regular communication. We encourage parent and community participation and welcome the involvement and input of Bass High affiliates.
Any concerns or issues you have regarding your child should be directed to their Year Adviser. Your child's Year Adviser will work with them throughout high school to ensure consistency in support. I am also available to meet with parents to discuss your child's needs.
