Our Welfare curriculum for Year 8 has a focus on positivity, celebrating success and continuing to build on students' understanding of respectful relationships. Year 8 also holds a number of exciting opportunities to develop leadership and interest in a vast range of areas. Students will have the opportunity to engage in programs and/or excursions that will allow them to explore their areas of interest, one being the Robotics Wars which will commence next week.
Students will find that this year will bring greater challenges in terms of workload, assessment tasks, and expectations of home study. It is important for both students and parents to be familiar with the Assessment Tasks and be aware of relevant processes and procedures.
This year Mr Akca (assistant Year Advisor) and myself are planning to organise an end of year reward excursion for our amazing students. More information on this will follow as the year progresses.
We are looking forward to yet another productive year at Bass High School.
